At the end of June 2008 The Conservation Studio was the principal sponsor of the IHBC Annual School held in Guildford. The theme of the four day event, which was attended by about 160 delegates, was ‘Historic Areas: Managing the Spaces in between’.
Chezel was a member of the organising committee and Eddie spoke at the Day School on Management Plans for Conservation Areas. One of our former colleagues, Robert Lloyd-Sweet, provided a stimulating outline of the Characterisation work we recently completed in North Staffordshire.
The conference included tours of Bramshill House in north Hampshire, a grade I listed house which was built around the core of a 15th century hunting lodge in c1605, and walkabouts of Odiham (where we recently produced a character appraisal) with members of the local amenity society.
The practice flyer was produced specifically for the conference and given to every delegate, along with a free tee shirt, also sponsored by The Conservation Studio.
